OUR HISTORY

The House of Praise Community Church (HoPCC) started in a small Bible study group. The fellowship was sweet and the call to share their faith was deeply felt, especially with the many unchurched "kababayans (countrymen)" concentrated in Bahrain. After about two years the believers gathered together for the 1st Friday Worship held on February 18, 2011 in a rented flat in Gudaibiya, Bahrain with 13 attendees.

The Lord blessed the 1st service with 1 soul saved, sister Evelyn. The Sunday Prayer Meeting started on March 13, 2011 then later on it has been moved from Sunday to Monday due to the availability of the members. The Thursday Bible study group has been divided into two groups, Discipleship, with the primary purpose of equipping the New Believers to be equipped to continue loving and serving the Lord Jesus Christ and other areas of Christian service and mission.

The HoPCC went through some growing pains and has grown stronger not only in membership but also in its mission goals, as seen in the quality of spiritual life of those attending the worship, bible study, prayer, and outreach.  Yes aside from striving to be faithful in their faith journey, the House of Praise Community Church (HoPCC) is also a Family Church that each members and those who visited us even for the first time in the worship can testify that the culture of this church is everybody’s Second Home and Family away from Home. This culture of as a Family Church is one of a kind that the entire church can be proud off.

In the midst of the faith journey of faith the enemy has often tried to destroy this body of believers. There are rough roads along the way but the Lord remains so faithful. The very existence of the New Community House of Praise is indeed a testimony of God's undying love, His faithfulness, wonderful provision and the House of Praise Community Church (HoPCC) is an active instrument of healing and reconciliation to dysfunctional families and agent of freedom to those who wanted to experience renewed life in the redeeming grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The House of Praise Community Church (HoPCC) will continue responding to her calling to continue serving and loving God, as the old Sunday school song says “I Have Decided To Follow Jesus, No Turning Back, No Turning Back” and it continue saying “No One Go With Me Still I Will Follow, No Turning Back, No Turning Back”… In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
